All of our local teams’ seasons have now come to an end on the boys’ side of things, and we will continue our look at our own ccSCOOP Patroon Conference All-Stars. In our fourth installment, we’ll take a look at the 2nd Team All-Conference we have selected.
Second Team
Will Gauthier (Chatham, Sophomore): The 6' 1” point guard had a fantastic first year on varsity and still has two seasons left. With great size, Gauthier proved to be a lethal slasher, defender, and rebounder, while also showing the ability to create for teammates. Also hit an average of over one three-pointer a game, helping in averaging over 13 points per game.
Chris Britt (Rensselaer, Junior): Second leading scorer on the league’s fourth-best team. Showed improved range from deep, knocking down an average of more than a three a game en route to his almost 11 points per game. A good rebounder, Britt was also voted by his peers as one of the top defenders in the Patroon Conference.
Andrew Clark (Greenville, Senior): The gritty and athletic senior has been a long-time starting point guard for the Spartans. In his final season, Clark put up over 13 points a game while also proving to be one of his team’s top defenders and rebounders and also its best playmaker.
Barry King (Hudson, Senior): The transfer from Columbia helped to fill the void on the wing left by departed star Lyle Hughes. Extremely athletic and a gifted slasher with a smooth jump shot, King was one of the best scorers in the league, scoring just over 12 points game to lead the Bluehawks in that department.
Chris Larm (Ichabod Crane, Junior): Larm is as tough as they come. At just 6' 3”, he battled bigger opponents all season long, often coming out on top. A solid scorer he averaged just under 11 points a game, but his presence was felt more as a strong-bodied defender and as one of the top rebounders on both ends of the court in the entire league.
