EXCEPTIONAL SENIOR ALL STAR GAME

PRESS RELEASE - 06/16/09

The Patroon Conference Exceptional Senior team took on the Central Hudson Valley League Exceptional Seniors team at Waterford Town park on Friday night. The CHVL team jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the 1st plating 4 unearned runs. The Patroon team answered with 4 of their own in the top of the 2nd on a walk and 5 consecutive hits. The walk was drawn by Shane Brozowski, double by Tyler Chewins, RBI single by Garrett Rogers, two RBI double by Mike Sirani, single by Tucker McNamee and RBI single by Justin Brantley. The Patroon jumped on top in the 3rd when Ryen Boehme was hit by a pitch, walk to Alex Issler and a 3 run Homerun by Shane Brozowski followed by a solo shot by Chewins. the Patroon added two more in the 6th and the CHVL scored one more in the bottom of the 6th to draw it to 10-5. That is where the score ended as Justin Brantley came in for the Patroon in the 7th striking out all 3 batters he faced. The Pitching was done by Tyler Chewins, Shane Brozowski and Justin Brantley. Justin Brantley was also 3 for 5, Mike Rigos had a double, Tyler Chewins was 2 for 2 with a double and homerun and Mike Sirani 2 for 2 with a double.

Alex Issler - Ichabod Crane, Mike Sirani, Ryen Boehme and Brian Gauthier - Chatham, Brandon Williams - Hudson, Moksziski - Catskill, Mike DeVinney - Coxsackie-Athens and Scott Decker - Taconic Hills. Back Row - Coach Sirani and Coach Steltz - Chatham, Shane Brozowski, Garrett Rogers and Steve Spath - Rensselaer, Tyler Chwins - Catskill, Justin Brantley and Mike Rigos - Hudson, Tucker McNamee - Taconic Hills and Coach Bowes - Hudson. Missing from photo were Jaime Shultz and Nick Papas from Maple Hill as they were playing in the state tournament and Nick Anander, Frank Hines and Hunter Phillips from Cairo-Durham did not play due to a game with their summer league team.
