Sectionals: Girls’ Basketball Seedings

Four Columbia County girls’ basketball teams have decided to play in sectionals and have been placed in three different classes based on size. The county’s largest team, Ichabod Crane garnered the seventh seed and a home game in the first round of Class A after playing an independent schedule this season. The Hudson Bluehawks are our only team playing sectionals in Class B and are seeded tenth, sending them on the road in the first round. In Class D, two teams, both from the Central Hudson Valley League, were seeded. The highest seed was Germantown, who got the top seed in the area’s smallest class, while CHVL cohort New Lebanon was seeded eighth.
