SECTION 2 BOYS SOCCER AWARDS BANQUET

At the recent Section 2 Boys Soccer Banquet in Saratoga Springs several Chatham players recieved post-season honors. Simon Day (Senior - Defender), Todd VanAlstyne (Junior - Midfield) and Tyler Mashaw (Junior - Defender) were named to the Patroon Conference 2nd Team. Seniors Joe VanAllen (Forward) and Andrew Knight (Midfield) were named to the Patroon Conference 1st Team as well as the Section 2 Class B All Star Team. Knight was also named the Section 2 Class B Co-Most Outstanding Player and to the New York State Small School All State Team. It was also announce the Knight was named to the NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All American 1st Team, one of only 33 players nationwide so named.

Chatham was 16-4-0 this past season finishing tied with Maple Hill for the Patroon Conference title, which they also won in 2007. Coach Justin Forrest's Panthers have amassed a 33-6-1 record in his first two seasons as Coach and will return 7 starters in 2009 and 17 players overall.
