FIELD HOCKEY

Ichabod Crane v. Glens Falls
The Riders made the long trek to Glens Falls as the third-seeded Riders looked to move themselves into the finals, but fell to second-seeded Glens Falls. The only thing we've heard is that the Riders fell but despite our best efforts we could not even get a score from the contest.

All things considered the Riders rebounded well from some key losses off last year's squad and put together a solid regular season and a nice post season run.

VOLLEYBALL

Two local teams opened up sectional play in volleyball action with both teams losing in the first round.

Hudson Falls v. Ichabod Crane
The fourth-seeded Riders in Class A hosted fifth-seeded Hudson Falls but fell in straight games 3-0. The Riders lost 25-22, 25-17, and 25-14.

ICC won the Patroon Conference title with a 18-5 overall record and are slated to lose seven seniors off this year's team.

Hudson v. Ravena
In Class B, the seventh-seeded Bluehawks traveled to second-seeded Ravena and fell 3-0. The scores were 25-2, 25-5, and 25-11.

Hudson finished 11-10 overall, 10-8 in the league, and are expected to lose seven seniors off this year's team and return just one player next year.
