ART IN THE BARN AT OLANA

10-27-09 - First Niagara's Art in the Barn program at Olana's Wagon House Education Center, held every Saturday morning, allows children from the ages of 3 through 5 to make the connection between nature and art. They, their families, and friends are welcome to get messy and discover the fun of creativity.

 

Between noon and 1, Jill Schwartz of Woodstock conducts a music, story-telling, and movement class. From 1 to 4 p.m., it's open art studio time.

On a recent Saturday, Jason and Rachel Brehm were immersed in everything from rubbings of large sycamore leaves to free-form drawing.

For everyone there's the joy of driving up the hill to the mansion and back down to enjoy the spellbinding views and autumn color.
