UPDATE 04-13-09 7:45 a.m. - Although the count of paper ballots was suspended on Friday because of the holiday, the numbers reported to the State Board of Elections changed throughout the day. At 10 a.m., the totals were: Murphy 77,773; Tedisco 77,727; with a margin favoring Murphy of 46. By 4:30 p.m. on Friday, the numbers were: Murphy, 77,804; Tedisco, 77,769; with a margin of 35 favoring Murphy.

 

 

Examination of the numbers reveals the following changes: Murphy lost a vote and Tedisco gained one in Essex County, Tedisco's votes in Rensselaer County increased by 9, and Warren County reported 30 votes for Murphy and 34 for Tedisco. By 4:30 p.m. on Friday, only Saratoga and Washington counties had not reported any results from the count of paper ballots.

No paper ballots will be counted this morning. The Election Commissioners, or their designees, from all ten counties have been summoned to Poughkeepsie to meet with Appellate Judge James V. Brand. Don Moore will be at that meeting will be at that meeting and reporting what transpires for ccSCOOP.
