UPDATE 04-09-09 - This morning, with the machine recanvass completed and some of the results of the absentee ballot count in, the margin between the two candidates is shrinking, but it still favors Tedisco. This morning's numbers: Murphy 77,177; Tedisco 77,201; with a margin of 24 votes.

The NYSBOE also published this morning the "Unofficial Machine Canvass Results" for all ten counties. That chart can be accessed here.

 

 

Yesterday, 112 absentee ballots were counted at the Columbia County Board of Elections, from seven precincts: Ancram 1 and 2, Austerlitz 1 and 2, Canaan 1 and 2, and Chatham 1. Forty-four ballots were challenged and set aside; of the ballots counted, 55 were for Murphy and 12 for Tedisco.
