UPDATE 04-07-09 - As the recanvass of the voting machines continues, the still unofficial numbers reported by the New York State Board of Elections keep changing. Today, with new numbers in from Washington County and one amended number from Saratoga County, which added 100 votes to those Tedisco collected on the Republican line, the margin narrowed to 17, but Tedisco is still in the lead. The totals reported by the NYSBOE today are 77,017 for Murphy and 77,034 for Tedisco.

Six of the ten counties that make up the 20th Congressional District are still recanvassing their voting machines. As soon as counties finish that recanvass, they will begin counting non-military and non-federal employee absentee ballots. Columbia County finished its machine recanvass last week, as did Dutchess, Rensselaer, and Saratoga, so the count of absentee ballots will begin here tomorrow, April 8.
Today's numbers from Washington County show gains and losses for both Murphy and Tedisco.
