UPDATE 04-04-09 - Since the first unofficial results of Tuesday's special election were reported, Scott Murphy's lead has been gradually eroding. First reports gave Murphy a 59, 65, or 66 vote adavantage over Tedisco, depending on which source you read. By Wednesday, retabulation had reduced the margin to 25.

On Friday, April 3, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the New York State Board of Elections issued its unofficial results, which show Murphy and Tedisco perfectly tied at 77,225 votes each. Click here for the chart that shows the details.
