PRESS RELEASE
MARCH 16, 2010
Learn About Gardening History in the Hudson Valley with the Germantown Garden Club
As part of the celebration of the 300th year of the founding of this town, the Germantown Garden Club invites the public to attend a presentation about “Gardening in the Hudson Valley: from Yesterday to Today.” Resident horticulturist, Jane Lehmuller, of Clermont State Historic Site, will talk about how landscape practices in our area have changed through time, from mainly agricultural into ornamental gardening.
Join us on Saturday, March 20 at 9:30 a.m. at The Old Parsonage, 30 Maple Avenue. This interesting presentation will shed light on how gardening has developed and “grown” in our area. Refreshments will be served.
For more information, please call Fran Bufi, 518-537-4868.
