An Urgent Appeal
ccSCOOP has, from its inception, been a self-supporting entity.
In the last few years, expenses have skyrocketed and our minimal advertising revenues have failed to keep up.
So we turn to you, our readership, to help support this unique LOCAL news source
ccSCOOP’s dedicated team of reporters, writers and multimedia experts describe what we're doing, and why..... Have a look!!
Our up-close and personal coverage provides a unique perspective on regional happenings; coverage that is not available elsewhere - either on the web or in traditional printed media. We live and breathe local news and local issues. Our concerns are the ones that most affect our rural community, providing a depth of news coverage that is simply not available from any other source.
The creators of ccSCOOP have invested much of their own time, effort and money in making ccSCOOP the template for truly immediate online news coverage in the the Hudson Valley. And we are on the brink of so much more; in the coming months we are preparing to unveil a whole new format for our site, complete with cutting-edge multimedia features and a whole new level of interactivity.
ccSCOOP will be enhancing our “social side” with true real-time commentary, immediate feedback from our readership and tight integration with all major forms of online social media.
BUT WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE
We urgently need your help to both survive and grow. Underwriting ccSCOOP ensures the survival of Columbia County’s only web-based hyper-local news source, and all donations to ccSCOOP are fully tax-deductible.
Won’t you help in any way you can?
